The Dark Knight Rises

My favorite Superhero is Batman, so obviously I'm really excited for the new movie to come out on Friday. And to celebrate (among other things) I did my nails for the occasion. Here's how they turned out.

First I painted 2 coats of white on my nails.

Then I went online and found a Batman logo and printed and cut it out. Here's the one I used.

Next I placed it on my nail and painted black crackle over it and removed the piece of paper.

I finished it off with a clear coat. The result looks pretty much as close to the posters for the new movie as you can get.

The Girl On Fire

Hey everyone I've read The Hunger Games and because Katniss' thing is "The Girl On Fire" I wanted to do a simple fire design on my nails when I go see the movie(yes kinda nerdy I know) and here's how I did it.

1: First I painted a coat of clear polish on my nails. The clear coat could be substituted for black or another color if you want.

2: Then I painted a bit if Orange on the bottom of my nails, followed by a little bit of Yellow on top of the Orange.

3: Next I took a toothpick and dragged it through the colors in various swerved lines to make it look more like fire.
4: Lastly I painted another clear layer on top.

And there you have it! A simple fire design for nails.

Bonus Idea: If you want you can also add some glow in the dark polish to the flames to give it a cool look in the dark. To do this just take a toothpick, dip the tip of it in the polish and just but it on the flames.
